ShipNewsNow is seeking community members interested in journalism and professional writing to work as part time community bloggers.

Description: SNN freelancers provide personal commentary on topics of interest in the Shippensburg community. This is an unpaid position. Currently we are looking for individuals to blog on the following topics:

-          Local Nightlife

-          Local Sports

-          Local Art Scene

-          Local Politics

* Interested parties should feel free to pitch other blog topics not listed when applying

Bloggers are required to file at least one post, around 400 words, a week.

Qualifications: An interest in journalism.  Any education in writing, journalism, or communication is a plus. The ideal candidate has experience writing on a deadline. Please send a resume and a writing sample to myoung@shipnewsnow.com.

ShipNewsNow Freelancer

Number of Vacancies: Up to 3

ShipNewsNow is seeking community members interested in journalism and news reporting to work as part time freelancers.

Description: SNN freelancers provide news coverage of assigned or approved pitches on issues in the Shippensburg community. All freelancer positions are general assignment so reporters can find themselves covering a wide variety of topics. This is an unpaid position.

Freelancers are required to file at least one story, around 400 words, a week.
