Shippensburg Swing Band to host Halloween Dinner Dance

SHIPPENSBURG — The Shippensburg Swing Band will host a “Halloween Dinner Dance” on Friday, Oct. 25 at Premier Events, located at 429 East Orange Street, according to Ruthanne Pitkin, publicist.

The dinner is a full buffet featuring salad and dessert and starts at 7 p.m.

Tickets for dinner and dancing are $25 and can be purchased by calling Tom at 717-377-2809 or tickets@shipband.org. Individuals who just want to dance pay $10 at the door at 8 p.m.

The Swing Band under the direction of Vicki Baker is a part of the Shippensburg Band and has 20 plus member from all walks of life and all ages.  What they have in common is the love of Big Band/Jazz music such at Duke Ellington, “In the Mood” and some lively favorites like “The Chicken Dance.” Come in costume and you may win a prize in the costume competition.
