Shippensburg achieved its highest regional finish since 2007 and was led by redshirt freshman Cameron Throckmorton, who won the 133-pound title and is SU’s only qualifier for the NCAA Division II nationals … Three other Red Raiders were place winners, including Cody Myers (5th, 141 pounds); Bobby Scheiver (5th, 165); and Neal Grudi (6th, 174) … Throckmorton was Ship’s first regional champ since 2009, when Chris Barrick won the 174-pound title … Throckmorton’s final victory came with a 9-4 decision over top-seeded Dylan D’Urso, who came into the match on a 19-match win streak … Ship finished with 60 team points.

Seven Raiders (2-1) recorded RBIs. Tyler Shover and Pat Kregeloh were both 3-for-5 and combined for 3 RBIs. Ship is now on a 2-game wining streak.
