CHAMBERSBURG – A 25-year-old Shippensburg woman has died as a result of a crash early Monday in Chambersburg.

Heather Coble, 25, Shippensburg was a passenger in a vehicle that was struck at 12:18 a.m. at East McKinley Street and Cleveland Avenue, according to Chambersburg Police Department.

Preliminary investigation indicates that Agustin Macias-Marquez, 27, Waynesboro, was driving on Cleveland Avenue when he struck another vehicle driven by Nicholas Fortenberry, 30, Shippensburg, who was driving on McKinley Street, police said.

The force of the collision led to the vehicles stopping against a residence located at the corner of the intersection, police said.

Fortenberry and another passenger, Madison Perry, 24, Shippensburg, both sustained serious injuries and were flown to York Hospital, police said. Coble was pronounced dead at Chambersburg Hospital.

Macias-Marquez was treated and released from Chambersburg Hospital, police said. He was then charged and arraigned for multiple offenses and placed in Franklin County Jail in lieu of $350,000 bail.
