HAMPDEN TOWNSHIP – A 20-year-old Shippensburg man was charged with stealing $40,000 worth of steel pipe from a construction site.

Aaron David Babner was charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. He was arraigned and placed in Cumberland County Prison on $25,000 bail.

Hampden Township Police were dispatched to the 5100 block of Trindle Road Monday for a report of a theft of steel pipe. A company working on the construction of Trindle Road reported that some time over the weekend, someone stole approximately $40,000 worth of steel pipe.
