SHIPPENSBURG – Fifty six property owners were cited by Shippensburg Police for failing to remove snow from their property.

Police announced the citations for the snow that fell Dec. 26.

Shippensburg borough ordinances require property owners to remove snow and ice within 12 hours after the snow has stopped.  Snow is required to be removed from the entire sidewalk, and sidewalks that have driveways crossing them are also required to be cleared , police said.
