Shippensburg Police charge bicyclist with DUI

A York man is charged with DUI after allegedly riding his bike to Sheetz while drunk.

Shippensburg Police spoke with Blaise Diehl, 28, York, at the Sheetz on East King Street. Police said that he was intoxicated and was driven home.

Store security later notified police that Diehl had returned on his bicycle and was intoxicated.

Police said multiple witnesses saw him almost strike a parked vehicle and a security guard while riding through the parking lot.

According to police, Diehl had fresh cuts and bruises and damage to his bike consistent with a bike crash.

He was arrested and charged with DUI and taken to Cumberland County Prison, where he refused a chemical test.
