BLOG: The (holiday) sounds of Shippensburg

5 December 2012 No Comment

As you’re driving your sleigh – or Chevrolet – all over Shippensburg during this holiday season, you’ll most likely be hearing a lot of seasonal music on the radio.

But if you’re having a blue Christmas hearing about chestnuts roasting and rocking around the Christmas tree and you can sing the names of all those darn reindeer in your sleep, fear not! Here is my holiday playlist of songs to jam along with while you check off all those tasks on your yuletide to-do list:

- Wham! “Last Christmas” – Get nostalgic about Christmases past while hanging your favorite ornaments on the tree.

-Eartha Kitt “Santa Baby” – Listen while making your shopping list and checking it twice.

-Mariah Carey “All I Want for Christmas Is You” – Go ahead and sing along while you’re stuck in holiday traffic.

-Alvin and The Chipmunks “The Christmas Song” – Hum along while you address holiday cards to mail to friends and family.

-Paul McCartney “Wonderful Christmastime” – Blast in the car while you’re driving around area neighborhoods checking out the decorated homes.

-Dolly Parton “Hard Candy Christmas” – Get your singing voice ready for caroling with this bittersweet ballad.

-N*SYNC “Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays” – Wrapping all those gifts will go faster when you groove to this fun tune.

-Gayla Peevey “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas” – A fun song to dance around the kitchen to while baking cookies for Santa.

-Britney Spears “My Only Wish” – Put this song on at your holiday party while you wait under the mistletoe for that special someone.

Comment below and tell me: what holiday songs can’t you get enough of, and which ones are you already sick of?
