SHIPPENSBURG — A Carlisle man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly lied about not knowing a wanted man’s whereabouts to law enforcement officials.
John Mower, 24, was charged with hindering apprehension, according to Shippensburg Police — who assisted the U.S. Marshal’s Office and Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office with taking wanted person Donald Cooley II, 47, Carlisle, into custody.
Police made contact with Mower at 48 Montgomery Ave., at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday. Mower allegedly denied that Cooley was in the residence, saying he didn’t know where Cooley was.
“After entering the residence, Cooley was found hiding in a nearby bedroom,” police said.
