Rock show to benefit 13 displaced by fire

SHIPPENSBURG, Friday, Jan. 20 — Local Rock band Big Marge, in con junction with Post Now PA, are pulling together their resources for a night of Rock and Roll music, to raise funds for the families of 130 E. Garfield St. who lost their home and possessions in an early fire on Jan. 16.

The event will take place Feb. 4 at 6 p.m. at The Though Lot. Admission is a minimum $10 donation with larger donations appreciated and 100 percent of all money raised going to the families of 130 E. Garfield St. The event will feature 5 local bands including Eighteen Hundred and Frozen to Death, Big Marge, The Lugosi’s, Shredfyre, and The Civil.

“The event is going to be awesome. There are a lot of people in need and it’s defiantly going to help with everyone’s needs,” said Shawn Keating, a resident of the home. “I’m highly anticipating this event and am extremely thankful for everyone’s generosity.”
