Shippensburg University President William N. Ruud presented a check Dec. 9 to representatives of the Shippensburg Area Emergency Medical Services.

The $5,000 check is the seventh payment of a 10-year commitment to support the service. Receiving the check were Shawn Hartsock, acting chief and director of operations, and Robert Van Scyoc, maintenance/finance officer.
