Workshop focuses on doing business with the state
SHIPPENSBURG – The Shippensburg University Small Business Development Center is offering a free workshop for entrepreneurs interested in providing products or services to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Learn how to find contracts and how state purchasing personnel are doing business. Expand the potential of your business by learning how to find state business contracting opportunities.
In just three hours you will learn:
• How to get started in government contracting
• Where and how to locate bidding opportunities
• How to read a solicitation and submit a bid
• About certification and registration requirements
• About state supported programs to assist your business
About the Presenter: Curtis Burwell is a Business Enterprise Analyst for the Pennsylvania Department of General Services, Bureau of Minority and Women in Business Opportunities. He is an active participant in the development and presentation of outreach and training programs intended to enhance state contracting opportunities for minority owned and women-owned businesses.
The workshop has limited seating and registrations will be accepted until Oct. 10, 2011 or until the workshop is full. Pre-registration is required for this workshop.
