SHIPPENSBURG, Tuesday, Sept. 13 -  Shippensburg University weather observer Timothy Hawkins recorded 8.51 inches of rain from Sept. 4 through 11.

This is the second biggest event in Shippensburg history since 1932.  Hurricane Agnes in 1972 dropped 10.43 inches.

If the month ended today, we would have 8.73 inches for September.  This would be the fourth wettest September and the 12th wettest ever.
